If you are fighting cancer, caring for someone who is, or you know someone going through this battle right now, I want to personally invite you to this session.
This is something very close to my heart.
Why I Am Doing This
When I was diagnosed with cancer, my whole world changed.
There was fear. Confusion. Uncertainty.
There were nights I did not know what the future would look like.
By God’s grace, I am still here today.
During one of the most critical periods of my illness, I received guidance from Mr Looi Tyck Lam, a pharmacist and Integrative Health Specialist. His support played a significant role in my recovery. I truly believe that without that intervention, my outcome could have been very different.
That experience made me realise something.
Too many people are walking through cancer without enough clarity, support, or understanding of what they can do alongside their treatment.
After being appointed coordinators of the Jesus Caritas Cancer Support Group, my wife Jeanrette and I felt called to organise this session to provide guidance and support to those affected by cancer.
About Mr Looi Tyck Lam
Bridging Medicine and Nutrition for Better Health
Mr Looi has over 35 years of combined experience in the pharmaceutical and health food industries. He stands at the intersection of modern medicine and holistic nutrition.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. He began his career at Abbott Laboratories USA, where he served for 22 years and eventually rose to the position of Division Group Director.
In 2006, driven by a passion to make health more accessible and preventive in nature, he founded Medifoods Sdn Bhd. This pioneering brand focused on integrating healthy eating with lifestyle medicine.
What makes Mr Looi unique is his ability to bridge pharmaceutical science with practical nutrition strategies. He believes strongly in the concept of food as medicine and understands the synergy between clinical care and everyday nutrition.
Over the years, he has inspired thousands through:
- Health talks
- Corporate wellness programs
- Public seminars
- Community education initiatives
Today, his focus is on empowering communities with practical, science backed knowledge on how to take charge of their health. His goal is to bridge the gap between medical treatment and sustainable self care through nutrition.
He is not just a pharmacist. He is a health strategist, educator, and advocate for preventive wellness.
What the Session Will Look Like
The total duration will be about 3 hours, from 2pm to 5pm.
Here is the flow:
- 30 minutes of my personal sharing
- About 1.5 or 2 hours of teaching and practical guidance by Mr Looi
- 10 minutes of prayer for healing and strength
- 20 minutes of open Q&A
During the Q&A, you can raise personal concerns or questions related to your situation.
If time runs out and you do not get to ask your question, please do not worry.
Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to arrange a one to one consultation with Mr Looi outside of the church, at a separate venue and at a time that is convenient for you.
Normally, this private consultation is a paid session at RM100.
However, for participants of this session, the consultation will be fully sponsored.
If you feel like you want to give an angpau as a gesture of goodwill, you are welcome to do so, but there is absolutely no obligation.
My heart is that no one leaves without clarity, direction, and personal attention.
Why We Limit It to 20 Participants
We are limiting this session to a maximum of 20 people.
Cancer is personal.
People need space to ask questions.
Sensitive topics require privacy.
A smaller group allows proper attention and meaningful discussion. I want this to feel safe, focused, and sincere.
The room we are using is also small, so we need to keep the numbers manageable for comfort.
If registrations exceed 20 people, we will prioritise cancer patients and caregivers first.
For those who are unable to secure a seat, do not worry. A recording of the session will be made available afterward. It will not be a live stream, but you will still be able to access the content.
My goal is to make sure the information reaches those who need it most.
Also, I plan to make this a once-a-month talk in JCC, so if you miss this round, i can keep you in the loop for the next one.

If you are currently fighting cancer, I want you to know this very clearly.
You are not alone.
God is with you in this battle. Even in the moments when you feel weak or afraid, He has not left your side.
I, together with members of the Legion of Mary, are praying for your healing. The Legion of Mary members consistently keep cancer patients and their families in prayer. You are remembered.
If you are caring for someone, I pray that God gives you strength, patience, and peace. Caregivers carry a heavy emotional burden, and the Lord sees your sacrifice.
You are also welcome to join our Legion of Mary gatherings to pray together with us. There is strength when we pray as one body.
For the scripture reminds us:
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Gospel of Matthew 18:20
And again,
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” — Epistle of James 5:16
Prayer together is powerful. It is not just words. It is unity in faith.
May God bless you with wisdom, courage, and hope in this season.
If this message speaks to you, please take the step and register. I look forward to seeing you there.
